U.S. Medical Manufacturing Industrial Development Strategy
April 21, 2026
Constitution Center400 7th St, SW, Washington D.C. 20024
Registration for this event has reached its capacity!
The nation’s medical and pharmaceutical industrial base is a strategic national asset and it must be protected and strengthened. ASPR’s Center for Industrial Base Management and Supply Chain – IBMSC – is bringing together leaders from government and industry to identify how we can partner to expand and reinforce this critical asset and ensure the nation is prepared for future incidents that stress the overall medical supply chain.
IBMSC will host a one-day summit to gather industry feedback to help shape the development of the first-ever HHS industrial base policy framework—the U.S. Medical Manufacturing Industrial Development Strategy.
Discussions will focus on:
Identifying and prioritizing gaps/deficiencies in our domestic industrial base capabilities across the most essential commodities, including medicines, personal protective equipment, and medical devices
Potential levers that could be used to address identified challenges; and
Cross-sector partnerships necessary to ensure a robust, surge-ready, and globally competitive U.S. medical manufacturing ecosystem.
Registration is now closed!
