Partner with ESAR-VHP
When disaster strikes, your organization is ready answer the call to preserve life and serve the health needs of your community. ESAR-VHP shares the same goals of protecting people during health emergencies.
Is your organization an acute care hospital, emergency medical service provider, emergency management agency, emergency shelter, public health agency, or other health care establishment? In the event of disaster or public health emergency, you will either need resources to help with the surge of demand on your staff and facility or you will be in the unique position to offer key resources in response.
Your membership and stakeholders can provide critical aid if they are aware of and registered with ESAR-VHP, just like other professional organizations can provide you critical aid in times of need. By spreading the word and encouraging health professionals to register in advance, you are helping ensure qualified public health and medical assistance is available in times of crisis and medical surge.
Also, the positive experience for employees who are encouraged to volunteer is invaluable – both to the employee and the employer. Health professional volunteers say they come back to their job re-energized and focused on their broader mission of helping people. They feel more loyal to their employer and thankful for their day jobs.
ESAR-VHP's goal is to encourage health professionals to register in advance of a disaster or public health emergency so that they can offer their unique skills and help during emergency situations. Much in line with your organization's goals, ESAR-VHP is working to assist our citizens and communities by allowing our health professionals to serve at their highest capacity.
This will happen through support and involvement in the program from professional organizations, non-governmental organizations, and foundations.
