Previous Meetings

• August 4, 2022:​ The NACSD and the NACIDD conducted a joint virtual public meeting on August 4, 2022. The two committees provided​ a status update on their work since March on topics related to national public health and medical preparedness, response, and recovery, specific to the needs of older adults and people with disabilities in disasters.
  
• April 6, 2022:​  The NACSD held a ​​​public meeting session specifically to the needs of older adults.​​
  
• March 30, 2022:​   Joint virtual, ina​ugural meeting of the National Advisory Committee on Seniors and Disasters and the National Advisory Committee on Individuals with Disabilities and Disasters. During this meeting, the newly appointed members of the two advisory committees were sworn in as Special Government Employees, followed by presentations and discussion of challenges, opportunities, and priorities for national public health and medical preparedness, response, and recovery ​specific to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities in disasters.
