The historic federal, state, and private-sector collaboration assembled to combat COVID-19 brought together scientists, logisticians, clinicians, pharmacists, regulatory experts, IT and analytics experts, communications specialists, security and assurance professionals, and planners, who now compose the permanent H-CORE team that will continue to combat this pandemic and prepare for the next. They came from across government—such as ASPR’s BARDA and SNS, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Defense (DoD), and more. H-CORE also taps individual experts who often work on singular missions.
