ASPR Industrial Base Expansion Portfolio
The COVID-19 pandemic has shown the importance of a nimble supply chain that is flexible enough to rapidly change manufacturing volumes and products in response to fluctuations in demand during a crisis. Keeping the nation’s public health and medical supply chains secure, robust, and resilient is essential for national security and the economic prosperity of the United States.
ASPR's Industrial Base Management & Supply Chain (IBMSC) Program Office focuses on expanding, securing, and building resiliency across the entire public health and medical industrial base, as well as addressing shortages of life-saving medical countermeasures, inclusive of pharmaceuticals, personal protective equipment, durable medical equipment and other ancillary devices and equipment to diagnose, manage, and treat patients.
