Regional Operations
ASPR Regional Operations is your state, local, tribal, and/or territorial (SLTT) government’s conduit for federal public health and medical support as you prepare for, mitigate against, respond to, and recover from public health emergencies, terrorist incidents, and natural disasters. ASPR Regional Operations also works with our SLTT partners during National Special Security Events (NSSEs), such as the Presidential Inauguration or the Papal Visit.
By collaborating with other ASPR programs including the
Hospital Preparedness Program,
Medical Reserve Corps, and Community Mitigation and Recovery, Regional Operations provides technical assistance, decision support, situational awareness, and a rapid connection to the broader network of federal health and medical resources.
Regional Operations under the guidance of the Regional Administrator builds, maintains, and leverages a network of relationships with public and private partners in public health, emergency management, healthcare, critical infrastructure, and emergency medical services to provide support and facilitate connection at the regional, state, local, tribal, and territorial levels. The Regional Operations Team provides 24/7 on-call support in response to regional and national incidents by evaluating requirements and working with our partners to mobilize federal public health and medical resources during disasters, emergencies, and NSSEs.
