Public Meeting: March 30, 2022

National Advisory Committee on Individuals with Disabilities and Disasters (NACIDD)

The inaugural public meeting of the NACIDD will be held virtually (via Zoom) on March 30, 2022. We will kick-off the meeting with an oath-taking ceremony and talks by senior officials from HHS and Congress about the issues affecting people with disabilities during and after a public health emergency.

Register to Address the NACIDD

The NACIDD is inviting key stakeholder groups to address the Committee and share their ideas on issues related to people with disabilities and emergency preparedness, response, and recovery. We are especially interested in hearing comments from representatives of academia, professional groups, advocacy organizations, or U.S. state, tribal, territorial, or local governments.

The NACIDD invites those who are interested to request up to four minutes to address the board in person via Zoom.

  • Request Deadline: March 15, 2022

  • Key Stakeholder Groups: Individuals who are involved in or represent academic institutions, professional groups, advocacy organizations, or state, tribal, territorial, or local governments.

  • Time Limit: To ensure that the NACIDD has the opportunity to hear multiple perspectives from our stakeholders, we are limiting comments to 4 minutes per speaker or group.

  • How to Apply: Please send your request to present before the committee to NACIDD@hhs.gov and include the name of the speaker, organization, and a full explanation of the intended comments

Email NACIDD

Stakeholders can also submit questions or comments to NACIDD ahead of the meeting by sending an email to NACIDD@hhs.gov, which board members will consider during the meeting as time allows.
